How To Increase Blog Subscribers

Do you want to learn how to increase your subscriber count? It is important to first understand the psychology of readers when choosing a blog to subscribe to. With that said, these are 6 ways I personally use to increase my subscriber count. It goes without saying that this tips won’t help if your content is bad.

1. Promote Your Feed Prominently – One mistake that some blogs make is have their RSS feed link appearing too far down in the footer of the design. As with anything you want to promote (ads, key posts, contact form, about posts etc) the higher on the page you have it the more attention it will have.

2. Guest blogging – Guest blogging is perhaps the best way to market your blog and increase your subscribers. By doing a guest post in other blogs, you can reach a lot of new readers (especially if you do it on bigger blogs), show off your best content and it’s free (as opposed to advertising).

3. Give your feed readers a bonus – Something I’ve seen more bloggers doing of late is giving their readers an incentive to read. For example Chris Garrett offered a free ebook to any subscribers and it worked well for him. If you have the time to write a short e-book, make sure to give this a try.

4. Make sure your feed is discoverable – I learnt this the hard way a few months back when I did a redesign at one of my blogs and didn’t think to check whether the feed was discoverable (it wasn’t). As a consequence I lost at least a couple of months of new subscribers. More and more people use auto discovery via their browsers – make sure yours can be found and that it’s working to make this a more seamless subscription experience for potential readers.

5. Focus on one subject, one particular topic – Viewers come to your site because you have content that interests them. They are more likely to stay-and subscribe-if all your content, not just one article, interests them.

6. Put subscription information at the bottom of each post – A viewer who reads an interesting post may just click on a link to your RSS feed subscription page under that post. They like the post, they like your site. Make the most of this moment; don’t expect them to search for the RSS link. But make this link small so it doesn’t compete with the post.

To increase your subscriber count, it is important to stay persistent and consistent. As blog takes some time to take off, your effort will all go in waste if you quit half way through.

Encouraging children to engage themselves in modern technology can be disturbing especially when they spend most of their time on it. But if you recognize the advantages of being in front of the computer and knowing the basics, you could teach it to your kids and voila, a web artist, computer specialist, or a journalist might be born.

If you see the future of writing in your children, enrich his abilities. How? By starting with this, get him linked to the blogging community. Teach him the core information, strategies and benefits of being a blogger. Before you do, make sure you have the knowledge as well.

The essential tools for making his way through are support and lots of motivation. Of course a computer would be great, same with an internet connection in the comfort of your home.

Children embrace fame and loves having someone to appreciate what they do. Acceptance, acknowledgement and attention provide sufficient self-esteem for them to grow. Introducing the blogging society to your children can help expand his know-how in the English language, broaden grammatical skills, and advance spelling talents.

Development in the art of writing at a budding age is truly an enrichment of your child’s innovative mind. Furthermore, blogging can have numerous benefits:

* Trigger the sense of responsibility – let your child know that blogging is not merely posting; certain responsibilities are brought up like updating, posting daily blogs, answering reader’s queries, and more.

* Establishes communication – connection to the outside world enable kids to reach out to distant relatives and friends. Better yet, getting updates and issues of what’s going on.

* Enhances creativity – upon knowing a child’s potentials, enhance it. Attending to his talents provides eagerness in the child and he would be more confident to profess his skills.

* Enriches vocabulary – it’s doesn’t stop in learning ABC, your child has the opportunity to play with the words. Make them think. How could I construct an effective sentence that could affect both the reader and the writer? He should learn to cope with words or phrases, correctly. Visiting websites like those that have a thesaurus, dictionary, etc. Which can help the child use other words aside from those that are said every day.

As parents, provide the highest level of understanding and commitment to your kids. Be alert for the dangers in handling the internet. Some scenes and sites aren’t that suitable to visit. Children must also be reminded that privacy should be maintained. Disclosing information that is risky and jeopardizing and is unsafe for posting.

How To Network Using Twitter

November 13, 2009 by Jason James

Twitter is the fastest growing social networking site on the Internet, and is a very popular subject within Internet marketing circles. Despite the opinions of many online marketers, who dismiss Twitter as nothing but a waste of time, it has proven to be a useful tool in the marketer’s toolbox for driving traffic and networking with fellow marketers, or people with similar interests.

The first step to taking advantage of the benefits that it offers is to follow, and be followed, by those with the same interests as you. Don’t limit yourself to just those people who you actually know, anyone who operates in the same niche or niches as you is an option.

Once you have a decent number of followers, it’s time to start tweeting. Bear in mind that when you tweet, self promotion isn’t the aim – always think about what your can genuinely offer others. There have been many spoofs of Twitter in the form of comics and videos which comment on how some people like to tweet about their everyday lives. If you want to brand yourself as someone knowledgeable and whom it would be desirable to follow, then you’ll need to be able to provide value to your followers as well as potential followers.

You’ll find that there are plenty tools around too to help you get even more from Twitter. These tools can be used to automate tasks which you may find are taking up too much of your time. Twitter is a social networking site though, and people often forget about the social aspect of it. If you are truly interested in networking with people on Twitter, then try not to automate anything. While it does save time to automate parts of your Twitter account, doing so will make you seem less interested in your followers.

Twitter is a great networking tool because it allows you to get in touch with people who you wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to meet. A great way to start a conversation with someone on Twitter is to either ask them a question, or answer one of their questions. Comments may be ignored, but if you help them or ask them for help, you are more likely to elicit a response from them. This is especially useful for networking with experts in your field.

If you tweet and interact with certain individuals long enough, they’ll start trusting and respecting you. Once there is trust and respect between you, then that’s when a viral networking effect begins. As soon as you start building your network on Twitter, you’ll find that your follower base will start to grow on its own without any additional effort on your part. When people see something funny, it is common to tell a friend about it as soon as possible. It is kind of the same principle on Twitter. When serious Twitter users see something cool, they’ll tweet about it. When they find someone worth following, they’ll recommend that their followers follow this person as well.

How To Make Money From Your Blog – Part 1

November 3, 2009 by Payo Hernandez

There are people who generate extra or supplemental income through simply writing on their blog however it’s mostly just that – a bit of extra income. It’s rarely a path which will lead you to riches but nonetheless it’s really simple to do and in this two part article I’ll show you the steps involved.

Firstly you need choose a specific topic for your blog, your blog should be very targeted to that one subject and nothing else. If you have another interest you want to write about then start a separate blog site for it. For a Blog to make money it must be received highly targeted traffic.

Rather than being driven by commercial reasons your blog topic should be something you know a lot about, you don’t have to be an expert but just able to write confidently on it. It should also be something which you’re not going to mind having to update every day with new posts.

I’ve used both Word Press and Blogger and to my mind Google’s blogger is the easiest option for a beginner to get up and running quickly. They literally take care of everything for you and within a couple of minutes your up and running. It also makes creating new blogs for other topics very fast as well.

Be sure to title your blog with something popular which people would use to find information about your topic if there were using a search engine. For example, if my blog was about surfing I could title it ‘learn to surf’ or ‘best places to learn to surf’ ECT… in most subjects you’ll find a lot of your titles are already taken so you’ll need to do a bit of searching to find one available.

O.K with your site up and titled we have to start writing content and lots of it. Your posts should be well written, good quality content and completely original (written by you!). Update your blog every day with new content and this is going to continue for at least 2 weeks before going onto the next step.

Now that you have a blog with a good title and decent content being added every day it’s time to let Google know about it. For this we’re going to write some articles and submit them to either ezinearticles or goarticles. The articles will be on your blogs topic and have backlinks to your blog as this is certainly the fastest way to get indexed by search engines in their frequent ‘fresh crawls’ following links from site to site. The more articles and backlinks to your blog the better so make a habit of regularly submitting articles.

Check out the second part of this article for the final things required in order to start making money from your blog!

Blogging – How It Can Drive Tonnes Of Traffic To Your Site! Need To Know Tips!

Blogging is a great way to drive targeted traffic to your sites and come across as a leader within your industry!

So what ia a blog? Well it is a website that is continually updated with regular information. By creating a blog on Internet Marketing or whatever your product you come across as a leader and gain status form naybody who reads your blog posts. People follow leaders in nature hence why it will generate traffic to your sites as people will want to hear or learn more from you.

Make sure you pick a high ranking Blog site, the two I would recommend are Blogger and Wordpress. These will boost you up page rankings and mean more people will view your site which leads to more traffic.

Pick a particular topic that your blog will relate to. Then provide really good quality information on that topic for people to take notice of you and want to hear more. For example my blog is on Internet Marketing so I could write a blog on Search Engine Optimization. By giving a good quality content blog on aspects of Internet Marketing I will have more people click onto my sites than if I were to just sell my business opportunity. You have to give people reason to want to click onto your sites; make this easy for them by leaving links to your sites at the end of each blog post.

You want to have the link lead to your squeeze page (for any internet marketing newbies a squeeze page is where you gather a persons details such as email address in order for them to receive something such as a free report), then they will see your page and opt in. This can build you a list very quickly, making you money online if you promote relevant products/home business opportunities to your list.

An important thing to consider is the style in which you write your blog post, keep it interesting and entertaining. Just because you are giving information does not mean it has to be dull. You want the viewer to read until the end of the post so that they will click on your link.

Break your text up, most people decide if they are going to read a piece of text by the way it is laid out. Have smaller paragraphs rather than a large block of text to make it more appealing. Another tip is to make your headline stand out and catch the readers eye, a great tool to see if your headline is good or not is http://www.aminstitute.com click on their headline analyzer. Make it catchy otherwise there’s no point in writing an article if nobody will read it.

A really great way to make your blog appealing is by adding a video to it. Most people would rather watch a video than read text, this makes your blog stand out and build a relationship with the viewer. If your video is entertaining the likely hood is they’ll want to watch more of your videos, This will boost your YouTube ratings and create a following. Bloggin is all about giving good quality content and generating traffic to your sites by leaving links at the end of each one. After people join your list they will more than llikely buy a product from you.

A number of people treat blogs as online journals, others to communicate with their friends and families, yet others to create new relationships, increase their horizons and get to a wide listeners that they otherwise would not be able to. A lot of these bloggers have noticed in appropriate time that – whether they initially intended it or not – they began to obtain a solid following of readers from all over the world. And they noticed the amount of blog enthusiasts rising. This is not an extraordinary phenomenon. If you write motivating blogs, if you write on a regular basis and on issues that create interest for others as well, people will become aware of your blog and will begin following it.

They will subscribe to your blog to keep up with what you post. However now the question for all the blogging enthusiasts is: can I create money from blogging? The reply is: Yes, you can.

And the fact is: but it’s not that simple as creating blogs regarding your passion, someone noticing you and obtaining the next Hollywood contract. So for the rest of us, not so fortunate with Hollywood contracts, how can we earn money from blogging?

There are several methods an individual can make money with blogging, counting affiliate advertising, with Google AdSense program, by selling banner ads, by writing articles for other webmasters, and sure enough also by selling your own information products and selling it with the use of your blog. A couple of the very familiar methods to make money are affiliate marketing and Google AdSense program. Each one requires a different approach: if you’re excellent at writing, you should go with the affiliate marketing process, where you need to advise and soon market items and/or services to your viewers. AdSense alternatively requires many viewers, for the reason that you’ll obtain about $5 per 100 viewers and to earn a living from this you should get at least 1000 visitors every day to your website!
