How To Network Using Twitter

Twitter is the fastest growing social networking site on the Internet, and is a very popular subject within Internet marketing circles. Despite the opinions of many online marketers, who dismiss Twitter as nothing but a waste of time, it has proven to be a useful tool in the marketer’s toolbox for driving traffic and networking with fellow marketers, or people with similar interests.
The first step to taking advantage of the benefits that it offers is to follow, and be followed, by those with the same interests as you. Don’t limit yourself to just those people who you actually know, anyone who operates in the same niche or niches as you is an option.
Once you have a decent number of followers, it’s time to start tweeting. Bear in mind that when you tweet, self promotion isn’t the aim – always think about what your can genuinely offer others. There have been many spoofs of Twitter in the form of comics and videos which comment on how some people like to tweet about their everyday lives. If you want to brand yourself as someone knowledgeable and whom it would be desirable to follow, then you’ll need to be able to provide value to your followers as well as potential followers.
You’ll find that there are plenty tools around too to help you get even more from Twitter. These tools can be used to automate tasks which you may find are taking up too much of your time. Twitter is a social networking site though, and people often forget about the social aspect of it. If you are truly interested in networking with people on Twitter, then try not to automate anything. While it does save time to automate parts of your Twitter account, doing so will make you seem less interested in your followers.
Twitter is a great networking tool because it allows you to get in touch with people who you wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to meet. A great way to start a conversation with someone on Twitter is to either ask them a question, or answer one of their questions. Comments may be ignored, but if you help them or ask them for help, you are more likely to elicit a response from them. This is especially useful for networking with experts in your field.
If you tweet and interact with certain individuals long enough, they’ll start trusting and respecting you. Once there is trust and respect between you, then that’s when a viral networking effect begins. As soon as you start building your network on Twitter, you’ll find that your follower base will start to grow on its own without any additional effort on your part. When people see something funny, it is common to tell a friend about it as soon as possible. It is kind of the same principle on Twitter. When serious Twitter users see something cool, they’ll tweet about it. When they find someone worth following, they’ll recommend that their followers follow this person as well.

Blogging – How It Can Drive Tonnes Of Traffic To Your Site! Need To Know Tips!

Blogging is a great way to drive targeted traffic to your sites and come across as a leader within your industry!
So what ia a blog? Well it is a website that is continually updated with regular information. By creating a blog on Internet Marketing or whatever your product you come across as a leader and gain status form naybody who reads your blog posts. People follow leaders in nature hence why it will generate traffic to your sites as people will want to hear or learn more from you.
Make sure you pick a high ranking Blog site, the two I would recommend are Blogger and Wordpress. These will boost you up page rankings and mean more people will view your site which leads to more traffic.
Pick a particular topic that your blog will relate to. Then provide really good quality information on that topic for people to take notice of you and want to hear more. For example my blog is on Internet Marketing so I could write a blog on Search Engine Optimization. By giving a good quality content blog on aspects of Internet Marketing I will have more people click onto my sites than if I were to just sell my business opportunity. You have to give people reason to want to click onto your sites; make this easy for them by leaving links to your sites at the end of each blog post.
You want to have the link lead to your squeeze page (for any internet marketing newbies a squeeze page is where you gather a persons details such as email address in order for them to receive something such as a free report), then they will see your page and opt in. This can build you a list very quickly, making you money online if you promote relevant products/home business opportunities to your list.
An important thing to consider is the style in which you write your blog post, keep it interesting and entertaining. Just because you are giving information does not mean it has to be dull. You want the viewer to read until the end of the post so that they will click on your link.
Break your text up, most people decide if they are going to read a piece of text by the way it is laid out. Have smaller paragraphs rather than a large block of text to make it more appealing. Another tip is to make your headline stand out and catch the readers eye, a great tool to see if your headline is good or not is http://www.aminstitute.com click on their headline analyzer. Make it catchy otherwise there’s no point in writing an article if nobody will read it.
A really great way to make your blog appealing is by adding a video to it. Most people would rather watch a video than read text, this makes your blog stand out and build a relationship with the viewer. If your video is entertaining the likely hood is they’ll want to watch more of your videos, This will boost your YouTube ratings and create a following. Bloggin is all about giving good quality content and generating traffic to your sites by leaving links at the end of each one. After people join your list they will more than llikely buy a product from you.

How to Set Up Contact Forms & Archives Pages

How to Create a Contact Form
You would be surprised at just how many bloggers don?t have a contact form on their blog. But why would you want or need one? Well if you are trying to market something, be it yourself, your services, a product or even a brand ? anything at all, you are going to need some way for your potential customers to be able to contact you. Unfortunately with the amount of spam around these days, it is unwise to publish your email address online. A contact form, however, means that your visitors can contact you with an email even though your actual email address remains hidden away on the server.
You can create a form manually using HTML but there’s no need to go to those lengths unless you need something specific. If all you need is a simple way for your visitors to send you a message then I recommend the great WordPress plugin from The Marketing Technology Blog.
Once it is installed, from your WordPress dashboard go to ?Settings? to find a new option called ?Contact Form?. Click on this option to reach the contact form editor.
You’ll need to fill in the email address to send the email to (don’t worry, this is hidden), a subject line for the email, and some standard messages. You can also put in a question that your visitor must type in to avoid spammers.
Once this is set up, you will still need to create the form itself. You can use a WordPress page or post. All you have to do is to type %%wpcontactform%% in to the body of the page, then when it is displayed on your website, the text will be replaced by the actual form.
That?s all there is to it! I would recommend, however, that you send yourself a message via your form to test that it works!
Setting Up Archives Pages
WordPress does have built-in archives features but they will only show the full post, it provides no simple way to merely see a contents table at a glance. Luckily, plug-ins come to our rescue yet again. There is a great one at idunzo.com.
What it does is to create a single page that displays just a single link for each post. It groups the links into months and you can also show the number of comments each post received.
Once the plug-in is installed you will see a new option called ?SRG Clean Archives? in the ?Settings? menu. There are several checkboxes allowing you to tweak the output but you may find that the defaults are fine.
The process for making the archives page is similar – you have a piece of text to insert which gets replaced by the actual archives output when the page is published. However there is one subtle difference – you have to type in the text in the HTML view of the page, and not in the Visual view.
The text you need to type is: <!–srg_clean_archives–>
This is actually an HTML tag (a comment) which is why it needs to be input in the HTML view. If you type it into the visual view then this is what you will actually see on your page when output.
Reason Why You Will Fail As an Internet Marketer
Many people have aspirations of earning money online only to have them crushed once they find how difficult it is. People keep making the same common mistakes over and over again that make them fail miserably. Here are the reasons why you won’t make it as an internet marketer.
You are not patient enough. Earning money online takes time! The hardest part about this profession is that you do not see money up front. There is no secure paycheck every two weeks within this profession. It might take six months for you to starting earning money. Many people are blinded by ads stating that they can earn up to $5,000 posting links on Google. It’s possible to earn money; however, these people do not tell you how long it’s taken them to start earning money. You must have patience within this profession.
You learn from the wrong group of people. Internet marketing “gurus” and Search Engine Optimization “gurus” are a dime a dozen. Many people get sucked into the “I’ve made $10,000 from following these simple steps” type of E-books and when they don’t make money, they quit. This goes with the first point, if you don’t have patience, you won’t earn money.
You do not target the right keywords. Many people try to make money by blogging about high paying keywords. However, many people learn the hard way that not all high paying keywords make you money. Proper keyword research includes looking at the buying potential of each keyword as well as the cost per click, click through rate, buyer potential and daily traffic.
People that fail at earning money from home do not target profitable niches. Choosing the right keyword is crucial for earning money (especially from Google Adsense). Many people focus on un-profitable keywords and later learn that all their hard work was in vain because the keyword they chose did not produce profitable traffic. Targeting the wrong type of traffic is another way to fail at Internet Marketing. For me, my ultimate goal is to earn a profit from putting up a blog or website, not to make friends and get “followers”. Social networking traffic never converts well as these people will not click on your ads. They will be great friends and will leave you poor.
The reasons listed above are only a few ways that you will fail as an Internet Marketer. Start learning the right way to earn money. There are many websites dedicated to showing people how to earn money online for free.

Do you think every successfull blogger or webmaster knows their way around the technical aspects? No, not all of them do, but still they keep creating blogs. How do they do it?
One word: outsourcing.
By handing over the difficult tasks to people that know much more about it than you do, you save considerable time and you ensure that the job is being done right the first time.
Yes, it’s true, outsourcing does cost you some money, but when you consider the time it would take to do it yourself, you will soon see how worthwile it is.
Learn the benefits of having your own blogging business:
- Create a passive income – Work from home – Write about any topic that interests you – Multiple ways to make money – Very small daily time commitment
There are a lot of people that create blog just for the fun of it, but there are also thousands of people that are making a decent monthly income through their blogging business. You can be one of them: you just need to start.
The blog set up might be the first problem that you encounter when starting your blogging business. When you don’t have extensive knowledge of domain names, hosting and blog installation this might be the hardest part. If you can outsource this to someone that is experienced in this domain, you will save yourself many hours of frustration!
Outsourcing the blog set up will save you time, which you can use to research article topics and work out a promotional plan for your blog. These things are the ones that are important, as they will bring you the money! Let someone else do the tech tasks while you focus on the things that are the most important.

You will need to get some important points understood if you want to give up that mundane job that you dislike so much for the rich online fruits that are on offer to all of us.
Have you ever thought that the promise of next day riches that some of the adverts promote online are true. If you have then wake up, it doesn’t happen like that you have to get that straight from the start. If you want to earn money online which is possible if you want it.
What plans do you think your Boss has for your future. Do you think he wants to make sure you retire with plenty of cash and no worries. No, his priority is to make sure it is him/her that is in that position. So given the chance you would want to be in control of your own future, your own retirement.
So can it be done or is it only for a select few. The answer is yes it can be done and not by just a select few, we are all capable of achieving financial freedom through earning our money online. The same as we are all capable of making a success of any business.
Business doesn’t just happen you don’t just get rich by starting a business. It takes commitment and dedication, it takes hard work marketing and selling you and your business to your potential customers. This how business works and if you put the effort in and get it right then you can make a lot of money.
The online business is exactly the same as any other even though some adverts may tell you differently. If what they said was true then who would be driving a truck for a living or working in an office. That’s not a downer on those jobs they a perfectly good jobs, my point is that all of us would be fighting to get hold of this miracle system that provides riches over night.
Don’t listen to the ads that tell you that this time next week you will be a millionaire, it is just not true. To be successful online then you have to run it like any other business. If you accept that and are willing to put the effort in then you have every chance of building a better future for yourself.
The good thing about starting an online business is that you can start off without having to invest a fortune. You can also start your business without having to leave your job. Which means you can finance and build your business from your job until it is earning enough each month to go at it full time.
So if you understand that it is not an over night money machine and that you will have to build it like any other business then you may be cut out for making your money online. There are no limits to what you can earn once you are established.
An Introduction to SEO For Blogs
March 20, 2009 by Caroline Middlebrook

Some people think that SEO is something that can just be ‘done later’ but SEO goes into the way your blog is setup and into everything that you write so it’s a good idea to get an idea about it right at the very beginning so that you don’t have to go back and correct mistakes later on which can be very difficult if not impossible in some cases.
Why is SEO Important?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation and it is a great way to get traffic because it’s completely free and once the traffic begins to flow it can continue to pour in for months or even years. However it can take a while to get to this stage which is a good reason to bear it in mind from the start.
To do SEO you need content that ranks in the search engines and of course with blogs being so content-rich they make excellent candidates. However if you don’t consider your SEO from the outset all those posts may not be at all optimised and your efforts go to waste and hordes of potential traffic could be lost.
Making Sure Your Posts Are Optimised
The first step is to know what keywords you want to rank for. Keyword research is a large topic of its own and there is not room to cover it here so if you are not familar with that do a little research first. However, don’t obsess over this because of a blog has to primarily appeal to humans and not just search engines.
However if your blog is more specialised then it might be obvious what keywords to pick. For example if you had some kind of photography blog and you were reviewing a particular camera then it would make sense to optimise the post for the brand and model of the camera as that it what people would search for. There are several places in the post when you need to place your keyword:
1) The title – the title is the single most important factor and you want your keyword as close to the start as possible.
2) The post content – you need to make sure you are writing about what you want to target! Don’t overdo it but make sure it appears a handful of times throughout the post.
3) Tags – WordPress and other blogging platforms allow you to add tags to posts and this is a great way to add keywords to any post.
4) The URL – it is preferable for your keywords to be embedded in the actual URL rather than having something like www.myblog.com/?p=123
What If You Have Already Written Lots of Posts?
If you already have some earlier posts that you wrote before you learned about SEO there are still some changes you can make retrospectively. One thing that is very important is to ensure that you do not change your URL as this will cause broken links to appear in search engines.
However you can change the text within your posts. You can tweak the titles, the text within the post itself and you can add and modify the post tags. Probably the most important change would be to alter your titles to make sure your keywords are as early as possible. For example, which one of these two is better if you want to rank for “make money online”? :
- 10 Great Ways to Make Money Blogging Today! – Make Money Blogging – 10 Killer Ideas!
The second one is better as far as SEO goes because the target phrase comes first in the title. Have a read through your article and make sure your keyword is liberally sprinkled throughout the copy text and don’t forget to add a tag if possible.
Once you make changes it can take a while for Google to pick it up and act on it so don’t expect results overnight!
Are Build A Niche Store Sites Still Profitable

A few years ago, the Build A Niche Store Program hit the market and quickly become many Internet Marketers favorite tool for making money with eBay auctions. Many Marketers quickly went out and bought hundreds of domains and installed this popular script on them. To say this script was H-O-T is an understatement.
In that time frame, BANS was the easiest program to use to make money online with eBay auctions. Whats more, Owners of the program could also use other ways to monetize their sites for added income. Programs such as Adsense and Bidvertiser were popular as was affiliate marketing products.
Then after about a year or so, a dark cloud came over the Owners of BANS sites. Google suddenly and without warning started delisting BANS sites from their search engine. BANS sites that were once sitting on the front page of Google for profitable keywords were no longer to be found. Some sites went from making 20 thousand a month to nothing as these sites lost their rankings.
As if the Google delisting wasn’t bad enough, eBay then started dropping affiliates. Many who survived the Google delisting suddenly lost their affiliate status with eBay. Many people who were making a comfortable income with BANS suddenly found their self without income as eBay would no longer allow them to be affiliates and stopped paying commissions on sales through their sites.
There are still people making money with BANS. But can the average or beginner Internet Marketer make money with the Build A Niche Store Program? In my opinion, yes. However the sites must be built as content rich sites with the eBay auctions worked into as an added benefit to the end user.
Are there alternatives to the BANS program? Yes there is. Now we have programs that will turn Wordpress into Affiliate sites using eBay auctions as well as a host of other programs that uses eBay to monetize their sites.
